Sublimation is the process by which a full color image can be applied
to the surface of a product, and the image is absorbed ("sublimated")
into the surface of the product. This process is different than silk
screening in that photographs can be faithfully reproduced on the proper
surface.
The full process involves taking a computer ready image and applying the
image to a transfer media using special heat activated inks. The transfer
media is then applied to the product, such as a mug or T-shirt or award,
using a special heat press. The image then becomes a part of the product,
absorbed into its surface.
